Discover the Picasso Museum Málaga with a help of this engaging self-guided audio tour at your own pace.
Málaga is famous as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso. And though the artist’s family moved to Barcelona when he was only around 10 years old, Picasso always felt a very deep and strong connection with the city of Málaga.
It all started here: the first etudes, the love of art, the love of Spain. It is natural that Pablo Picasso wanted his works to have a place in Málaga. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen during the life of the artist. The museum was founded only in 1996.
Nowadays the museum is home for more than 200 works of the legendary artist. They cover most of Picasso’s artistic periods and represent different techniques the genius artist worked in including sculptures and ceramics.
Located in the beautiful 16th century palacio not far from Casa Nadal where Picasso was born and the Church of Santiago where he was baptized, the museum offers a unique and intimate perspective to the life of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century.
